/ˈbəːɡə/ – noun
a flat round cake of minced beef that is fired or grilled and typically served in a bread roll; a hamburger.

Although sounding rather simple, it’s everything else that is packed in between those two buns that makes ‘the burger’ one of the greatest and most satisfying towers of goodness.

Nominated for the second year in a row, our very own Owner and Director Simon, is one of the 16 finalists for the National Burger Awards for 2017.

Showing us all how it’s done, Simon has yet again produced another crowd pleasing, cheese oozing delight.

Simon is currently greasing up his favourite spatula in preparation of the LIVE FINAL at the Islington Metal Works in London on Wednesday 22 February 2017.

Without giving too much away, we have grilled Simon to uncover more about this finalist burger.

Name: Beale Street Moos

Ingredients: Well that would just defeat the entire purpose of the live final..

But, what I can tell you:

Beale Street Moo goes back to our roots and pays homage to our classic memphis BBQ style. Yes, there is 100% brisket mince, reoccurring cheese, bacon, pickles & sauce. And for the rest? You’ll just have to stay tuned.

Beale Street, in downtown Memphis- known for blues, rock ’n’ roll, southern food and nightlife. 4 of Simon’s favourite things, packed into one street! Drawing strong inspiration and recreating these vibrant Beale Street vides back in London at Porky’s London, seemed like an appropriate name.

16 finalists selected from hundreds- Congratulation to all and may the best burger win!

Well Done Simon- Show us how it’s done!

Congratulations Simon. Show us how it’s done! Shout out to all the other finalists and may the best burger win!
